Burlington Fire Department Collecting Gifts for Sick Children

By: BNEWS

Help children going through a tough time enjoy the holidays.

The Burlington Fire Department is holding its annual Burlington Fire Holiday Happiness Toy Drive and this year all the gifts will be delivered to sick children.

“The Burlington Fire Department annual toy drive has decided this year to donate all gifts directly to Children's Hospital of Boston for distribution to all of the inpatient children and help make the kid's holiday a little brighter,” a notice from the department states.

Donations accepted must be new, unused, unwrapped toys and gifts for boys and girls age newborn to 18 years old.

“Gifts that they need the most are for age newborn thru 3 years old and age 13-18, but all donations are very much appreciated,” the notice reads.

Drop boxes are available at the Burlington Fire Department headquarters, Fire Station 2, the Veterans Services Office, Used Book Superstore, Olde Towne Liquor Store and Newtowne Grille in Billerica.
