A Grand Jury has indicted two suspects in connection to a non-fatal shooting that happened in the Burlington Mall parking lot earlier this year.

According to a release from Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office, the two suspects, who were each arrested two weeks ago, will face the following charges:

Noel Semprit, 19, of Lowell, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault with intent to murder, and armed robbery.

Cincear Sheppard, 15, of Lowell, was charged as a youthful offender (4 counts) with armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery by discharging a firearm, armed robbery, and carrying a firearm without a license.

As reported on BNEWS, on the evening of April 14, a man was shot in the mall parking lot and treated at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries. Police said at the time that they believed the suspect and victim were known to each other.
