BHS Teams Couldn't get it Done Against Winchester Sachems

It was not a progressive day for multiple Burlington High Teams.

 

The Boys Varsity Soccer team hosted the Winchester Sachems in their home opener on Tuesday afternoon at the Marshall Simonds Middle School Brush Field. In the end, the team was shutout at home two to nothing.

 

Although a loss, their was a great effort by Senior Bob Aloisi, Juniors Max Lechner, Kevin Mahoney, Sean Theurer and Sophomore Betoya Bundu. The boys will travel to Reading Memorial to take on the Rockets on Thursday afternoon. The record for the team currently is (0-2) and the Red Devils are still looking for their first win.

 

As for girls varsity soccer team, the girls lost to the Winchester Sachems as well and suffered an 8-0 shutout. The Lady Devils are currently (0-2) on the season. They will be at home on Thursday afternoon to take on the Reading Rockets at Marshall Simonds Middle School.

 

Girls Varsity Volleyball traveled to Winchester High School to take on the Sachems on Tuesday afternoon. They did not go home happy after losing to the Sachems.

 

Despite the loss a number of players never gave up, Senior and Captain Kelly Joyce lead the team in 10 kills. Sophomore Molly Murphy was 19/20 at the serving line. Senior and Captain Lindsay Baxter had 3 aces and added 12 digs. The girls will travel to Reading Memorial to take on the Rockets on Thursday afternoon. They currently stand at (1-1) in their conference.
