Burlington High Spring Sports Head Into the Playoffs

Burlington High Spring Sports traveled throughout New England for very important playoff matchups this week. 

 

The Red Devils Baseball team will be heading to Marblehead to take on the Magicians on Thursday, June 6 at Seaside Park at 4 pm. Burlington finished the season at (10-10) and are ranked as the number 12 seed in the MIAA Division 2 North Tournament. Marblehead is ranked as number 5 after finishing (13-7) on the year.

 

The Lady Devils Softball team will have a playoff game at home against the 10th seeded Danvers Falcons on Thursday, June 6 at 4 pm at Marvin Field.

 

Burlington finished the season with a (15-5) record and is ranked 7 overall in the playoffs. The Falcons finished the year with a (13-7) and are

ranked 10 overall.

 

The Boys Lacrosse team had a first round bye and is heading to the Quarter Finals on Friday, June 7 at 6 pm to take on Melrose Red Raiders at Melrose High School. The Red Devils finished the year at (13-5) while, Melrose finished at (12-5).

 

The Lady Devils Lacrosse team headed to Chelmsford to take on the Lions on Tuesday afternoon. Burlington suffered a huge loss in the first round of the playoffs with a final score of 16-1.

 

 The Lady Devils finished the season at (4-14) and was ranked 15th overall in the playoffs. The Lions stand at number 2 in the rankings and finished the season with a record of (16-4). 

 

Both the Boys and Girls Tennis team lost in the first round of the MIAA Playoffs. The boys traveled to Masconomet Regional to take on the Chieftains in Boxford.

 

The boys lost to the Chieftains 4-1, while the girls lost to Concord-Carlisle 4-1. The boys were placed as the 11th seed in the playoff bracket and finished the year (12-6). The Lady Devils were placed as the number 8 seed in the bracket and finished the year (12-5).
