Burlington Historical Society Hosting Photo Slideshow on History of Town

Come learn about Burlington’s history with a photo slideshow featuring images from the 1940s to today.

The Burlington Historical Society is celebrating its 55th anniversary with photos assembled by the curator of the website BurlingtonRetro.com Robert Fahey.

“Robert Fahey is back in town with more fascinating facts about the history of our fast-growing town of Burlington,” an invite from the Historical Society reads. “Come and take a trip down nostalgia lane with the Burlington Historical Society and Robert Fahey's amazing collection of photos of the town of Burlington from  earlier years of the last century, up to the present. See a visual history in casual photos from when the town grew from a little farm village to the rapid growth years of the fifties and sixties.”

The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 7th,  in the Murray-Kelly Room, 61 Center Street Burlington. Doors open at  6:30 p.m. and the presentation is at 7 p.m. after a brief business meeting and member's raffle will end the evening.

“This is the 55th Anniversary of the Burlington Historical Society!” the invite says. “Time to celebrate!”
