A popular place for birthday parties and other celebration that features arcade and carnival games has shut its doors.

The Chuck E. Cheese in Burlington, located at 4 Wall Street, has recently closed. A sign on the door stated the location was closed but did not elaborate as to why. It did point patrons to area locations that are still open in Natick, Everett and Lowell.

Chuck E. Cheese was originally founded in 1977 in San Jose, California. The restaurant caters to children with a variety of activities including, a ball pit, a musical animatronic show, arcade games and prizes.
