BACC Holding Candidate Forum on Tuesday

There will be an opportunity for residents to hear from the candidates for the contested Board of Selectmen and Town Moderator races this week.

The Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a candidate’s forum starting at 6 p.m. at Grand View Farm on Tuesday, March 28.

In the Town Moderator race incumbent Sally Willard is facing challenger William Beyer, a former member of Ways & Means.

The seat on the Board of Selectmen has three challengers: James Tigges, a detective with the Burlington Police Department; Joan Kennedy-Constant, an attorney and Town Meeting member; and Virginia Mooney, a former member of the board and a current Town Meeting member.

All candidates except Mooney have confirmed they will be at the forum.

The forum will feature questions crafted by the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce. It will be moderated by BNEWS’s own Richard Hosford.

BCAT also held debates for the Town Moderator and Board of Selectmen races that you can find here.
