Board of Health Holding Flu Clinic and Offering Vaccines by Appointment for Children and Seniors

By: BNEWS

Avoid getting the flu and spreading it to others this flu season.

The Burlington Board of Health is offering free flu vaccines in a couple of different ways this year.

The board is hosting a free flu vaccine walk-in clinic at Memorial School from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 26. Though the vaccines are free anyone with health insurance is asked to bring their information with them.

Also, during the month of October the board is offering by-appointment vaccines to children 6 months to 18 years of age. All children are eligible for free vaccine regardless of insurance status and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

They are also offering high dose flu vaccine for those 65 and older on Monday, October 7 and Monday, October 21 from 10 am to 12:30 p.m. in their offices in the Human Services Building at 61 Center Street (upstairs from the Senior Center offices). These vaccines will also be by appointment only.

To make an appointment call the Board of Health at 781-270-1955.
