Board of Health to Host Burlington Health Fair

The Burlington Board of Health will be hosting the Burlington Community Health Fair on Saturday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burlington High School Gymnasium.

“The Health Fair is sponsored by Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and will provide an excellent opportunity for residents to discover the health and wellness services available in their community,” a release from the Board of Health states.

The health fair will include over 30 exhibitors covering a wide range of health and wellness services for people of all ages. There will be educational information, health screenings, fitness demonstrations and other wellness services. Educational information will be provided on nutrition, food safety, gardening, fire safety, poison prevention, and other social services. Health screenings will include blood pressure, facial sun damage, and posture screenings. Fitness and group exercises will be conducted. All screenings and services are provided free.

“Stop the Bleed” training will be offered by Lahey Hospital Medical Center for free to empower bystanders to implement life saving strategies before first responders arrive.
