BoH and Volunteer Reserve Corps Hosting Free Blood Pressure Screenings on Thursday

The holidays can be both stressful and a time of indulgence, two things that can impact your blood pressure.

On Thursday, December 26, the Burlington Board of Health and the Burlington Volunteer Reserve Corps are hosting a free blood pressure screening event from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Burlington Public Library.

“According to the American Heart Association, high blood pressure is a disease that has no symptoms but can be deadly if left untreated,” the Health Department stated in a release. “The American Heart Association estimates that 80 million adults in the US have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Because high blood pressure has no symptoms, it is important to get periodic blood pressure screenings.”
