Burlington Del Frisco's Grille is Closing on Sunday

By: BNEWS

Update 10/16/19

A spokesperson from Del Frisco’s Grille confirmed that the restaurant is closing.

We have made the difficult decision to close this restaurant location at close of business on Sunday, October 20,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We appreciate the continued patronage of the many guests who have dined with us at these locations and thank our team members for their passionate dedication to Del Frisco’s Grille. We are incredibly proud of our team and appreciative of their unwavering dedication. We are partnering with our nearby restaurants to place as many team members as possible.”

This means, of course, that anyone with reservations after that date is out of luck.

“We will unfortunately be unable to honor any reservations made on or after October 21, 2019, at this location,” the spokesperson added. “If you have questions regarding existing or upcoming reservations, private dining events, gift cards or the Rare Rewards program, please visit DelFriscosGrille.com/questions.”

Original Story

It appears another Burlington restaurant may be shutting its doors.

The food blog Eater Boston reported on Tuesday that Del Frisco’s Grille is closing several locations across the country including the establishment at 92 Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington. It will also close the restaurant located in Chestnut Hill. Both are set to close on October 20.

According to Eater, the closing comes after the Connecticut-based private equity firm L Catterton purchased Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group for $690 million.

L Catterton then announced that it was selling the two Del Frisco’s brands, Del Frisco’s Grille and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, to Houston-based dining, hospitality, entertainment, and gaming group Landry’s. Landry’s is owned by Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta.

BNEWS attempted to confirm the restaurant’s closing, which has been reported in multiple restaurant and business outlets, with a call to Burlington’s Del Frisco’s Grille. A manager at the restaurant said they could not comment and directed questions to a corporate email. As of the time of this publication an inquiry to the corporate offices had not received a reply.
