Burlington Patrolman Charlie Ferguson Retires After Over Three Decades of Service

The Burlington Police Department is wishing one of its own all the best after a long career.

“With over 33 years of service to BPD in the books, we congratulate Charlie Ferguson on his retirement!” a post from the Burlington Police Patrolmen’s Association on Facebook reads.

Though he is retiring from the line of duty, Officer Ferguson isn’t going far. At the last Board of Selectmen meeting, Town Administrator Paul Sagarino, at the request of Police Chief Michael Kent, appointed Ferguson as a special police officer for the Town of Burlington.

Board Chairman Joe Morandi thanked him for his service.

“Mr. Ferguson has been a great role model at the Burlington Police Department,” he said. “He’s been there for over 30 years. I want to say thank you to him.”
