Burlington SEPAC to Feature Talk by ADHD Expert

Anyone who has ADHD or has a family member, friend, colleague, student or loved one or anyone wants to learn more about the condition is invited to a presentation on the topic.

The Burlington Special Education Parent Advisory Council [SEPAC], in collaboration with Billerica Pac, is hosting a presentation by ADHD Essentials' Brendan Mahan, MEd., MS.

“An internationally recognized expert, high engaging speak, and host of the ADHD Essentials podcast, Brendan helps individuals, families and institutions address the emotional, academic and lifestyle impacts ADHD has on them,” an invite states. “He gets ADHD because he has ADHD.”

Along with doing the podcast, Mahan meets individually with clients at ADHD Essential.

“Brendan is caring, and understanding of the difficulties faced by those who suffer from ADHD, as well as the impact it has on those who love them,” the group’s website says. “He sets realistic expectations, while encouraging his clients to strive to be 10 percent better.”

In his workshops, Mahan shares personal stories, case studies, various intervention techniques, and insights with a dose of humor and caring.

“Brendan’s insights into the role ADHD plays in the lives of his clients, as well as his strategies for limiting the impact of the disorder, have benefited people from Massachusetts to California, and across the globe,” ADHD Essential says.

The presentation will be held on Wednesday, April 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grand View Farm. Burlington SEPAC is asking people to RSVP at BurlingtonSepace@gmail.com
