Burlington Sons of Italy Offering Italian Language Classes

Have you ever wanted to learn how to ‘parla Italiano’?

Well now you can with Italian language classes provided by the Burlington Son of Italy.

“With highly qualified professional instructors, the Burlington Sons of Italy, Lodge 2223 is once again offering Italian language classes to anyone who is interested in acquiring levels of proficiency with the language or to learn about the country of Italy,” the organization says in an invite. “In addition to the language, the classes will explore the culture, the terrain, the people and the culinary arts of Italy.”

Two semesters are offered annually in levels of Beginner 1 & 2; Intermediate 1 & 2 and Advanced 1 & 2. The 2019 Fall Semester will hold registrations on August 28 and classes will begin on September 4. First semester attendance is not required in order to enroll in the September 2019 semester.

All Beginner 1 & 2 classes, Intermediate 1 & 2 classes and Advanced 1 & 2 classes will meet on Wednesday evenings at St. Margaret's School on Winn Street in Burlington. The various class levels are designed to facilitate a logical flow from Beginner 1 to Advanced 2, the final step in the process of learning Italian.

The fee for all levels is $140 per person for the twelve week semester. The registration policy mandates that this is a non-refundable fee.

“The Order of the Sons of Italy Burlington Lodge 2223 has been offering the Italian language classes for the past two decades and the program is one of the lodge's proudest achievements,” the organization says. “The on-going goal of the lodge is to teach Italian to interested members of the community. This goal is a 'work-in-progress' in which many people over the years have been introduced and educated in the Italian language.”
