Clear Your Home of Hazardous Materials with Board of Health Collection Day

Do you have any unused hazardous materials lying around your house?

 

The Burlington Board of Health will conduct a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, September 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Francis Wyman Elementary School, 41 Terrace Hall Avenue. 

 

This collection event is for Burlington Residents only and provides an opportunity for proper disposal of household quantities of hazardous materials. Proof of residency will be required.  

 

Oils, gasoline, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, car batteries and mercury containing materials will be accepted. All materials should be transported in sturdy containers. 

 

Latex paint, Medical sharps, and expired/unwanted medications will NOT be accepted. However, there are sharp kiosks available at the Burlington Fire and Police Departments. Alos, a medical drop-off kiosk is available at the Police Department.
