Coronavirus Cancellations and Closings in Burlington

We are collecting all Coronavirus-related event cancellations or facility closings that we are made aware of in Burlington. If you have a cancellation you would like to share with the community email it to bcat@bcattv.org and we will add it to the list. 

 

Cancellations/Closings in Burlington: 

 

- Burlington Public Schools until at least March 27 (UPDATE: On Wednesday, March 25 Gov. Charlie Baker extended the mandatory school closures until at least May 4). Read More...

 

- All Burlington playgrounds are closed until further notice. Read More...

 

- The Burlington Mall, along with all Simon properties, will close Wednesday at 7 p.m. through at least Sunday, March 29.

 

- Per order of the governor, no restaurants or bars will serve clients in-house. Delivery and take-out are allowed. All gatherings with people 25 or more people are prohibited. See a list of restaurants that are offering take-out and/or delivery.

 

- All government meetings for the week of March 16-20 have been cancelled.

 

- All Burlington Municipal Offices are closed to the public. Staff will be on hand to answer phone calls/emails. Read More...

 

- All Senior Center programs and activities. (Update: Tax help has also been cancelled).

 

- Burlington Public Library is closed to the public but still staffed to offer assistance by phone or online. Read More...

 

- All Burlington Parks & Recreation Winter Programs and registration for Spring Activities. Read More...

 

- Board of Health Community Health Fair. Originally planned for Saturday, March 28. Has been cancelled and may be rescheduled for a later date but that is not confirmed at this time. 

 

- Burlington Public Schools All Town Band Concert. Was scheduled for Wednesday, March 11. According to the School Department website a later date is to be determined. 

 

- Burlington Public School’s All Town String Concert. Scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. New date to be determined. 

 

- Back to School Nights at Marshall Simonds Middle School and Burlington High School. 

 

- Parent conferences at the elementary school. Originally scheduled for March 18. 

 

- All school carnivals and similar events.
