DPW Roadwork - You're Guide to Avoiding Traffic Delays

By: Rich Hosford

The Department of Public Works is busy this summer with a number of jobs on Burlington’s streets, sidewalks and parking lots.

To help you keep up to date and possibly seek alternative routes, we will keep you updated as to what work is happening where.

On Wednesday of this week paving work is expected to begin on Muller Road and Wheeler Road.

Also the Police Department parking lot will start to be repaved this week.

There are also 10 projects that are currently underway and are expected to be completed on July 5. The streets in question are Manor Avenue, Wyman Street, Oxbow Lane and Harriett Avenue, Brookside Lane, Sandra Avenue, Carter Road, Wilmington road, Phillip Avenue, Woodhill Road and Moss Street. In all instances the DPW states motorists should expect delays.

Additionally, the Burlington Ice Palace, Fire Department and Town Hall parking lots are currently being repaved.
