Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria Announces Spring Opening, Is Hiring

A well-known and award winning pizzeria got one step closer to opening and revealed when they might be ready to serve customers.

Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria announced on its website that construction at the Burlington Mall is well underway and they are eyeing a “late spring” opening. They also said they are currently hiring cooks/pizza makers.

 

The 98-seat full service restaurant will be Frank Pepe’s second Massachusetts location, the other being in Chestnut Hill, but many people have heard of the well-known Connecticut based establishment. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is one of the country’s oldest pizzerias. It was founded in 1925 by Frank Pepe who was born in the town of Maiori, on the Amalfi, Naples, Frank Pepe.

As the business grew it earned a loyal following and quite a few awards. It was named to the James Beard Foundation’s list of “America’s Classics” in 1999 and was called the “Best Pizza on Earth” by The Guardian in 2009. The Daily Meal named Pepe’s white clam pizza the “best pizza in the country” two years in a row in 2013 and 2014, among other accolades from other publications.
