Friday at Noon Deadline for Absentee Ballots

Anyone who wants to vote in the upcoming town election but who can’t make it to the polls can still participate as long as they act before the end of the week.

Absentee ballots are now available at the Town Clerk’s office, Town Clerk Amy Warfield said in a release. The application deadline is Friday, April 5 at noon.

Voters unable to vote at the polls on Election Day due to absence from the town during the hours the polls are open, physical disability or religious belief are eligible for an absentee ballot.

To apply voters or one of their family members must turn in a written request to the Town Clerk’s office by the deadline. Voters may apply and vote in person at the Town Clerk's office or through the mail. If the ballot is to be mailed, apply far enough in advance so that the ballot can be mailed and returned by the close of the poll. Applications are also available at www.burlington.org click the link on the front page.

The Burlington Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 6. Voting will take place at the Burlington High School gymnasium and the polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
