Get a Free Ride to the Burlington Mall for Holiday Shopping with Burlington Public Transit

Need to get some holiday shopping done but either don’t have a vehicle or want to avoid trying to find a parking spot at the Burlington Mall? 

 

The mall and Burlington Public Transit are offering free rides to the Burlington Mall on the Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas (November 26, December 3, 10 and 17). 

 

“If you haven’t ridden a Burlington Public Transit bus yet, this is a great opportunity to give it a try - get some shopping done and it is free,” a notice on the program reads. “Why hassle for a parking space at the Mall during the holiday season?” 

 

Mall Route: 

 

On the hour, stating at 10 a.m., Bus 1 will run from the Human Services Building at 61 Center Street to Birchcrest Street, Bedford Street, Terrace Hall Ave and A Street to the Burlington Mall. and back to 61 Center Street via Lexington Street (Route #11 on the regular schedule). 

 

On the half hour, starting at 10:30 a.m., Bus 1 will run down Lexington Street to the Burlington Mall, A Street, Terrace Hall Ave and back to Human Services Building (Route #11R on the regular schedule. 

 

Residential Routes: 

 

On the hour, starting at 10 a.m. Bus 2 will operate the Francis Wyman/Wilmington Road area back to the Human Services Building (Route #13 on the regular schedule). 

 

On the half hour, starting at 10:30 a.m., Bus 2 will operate the Birchcrest Street, Peach Orchard Road, Beacon Street, Winn Street, Wyman Street area, back to the Human Services Building (Route #14 on the regular schedule). 

 

The last trips from the Burlington Mall will be the 5:30 p.m. run (Route #11 and #11R) back to the Human Services Building. At 6 p.m. Bus 1 will do the Peach Orchard Road, Beacon Street, Winn Street, Wyman Street route (#14) and Bus 2 will do the Frances Wyman/Wilmington Road run (Route #13).
