Get Emergency Alerts from Burlington Government and Public Safety Agencies

By: BNEWS

Do you want to be even more connected and receive emergency alerts from the town government and public safety agencies.

In light of the recent storms, you might be wondering how you get connected and get information calls or emails you can sign up to be able to receive voice or email notifications directly to you,” a release from Town Clerk Amy Warfield says.

You can get them by signing up for the town’s Connect5 Emergency Alert System and its corresponding Blackboard service. The Blackboard service allows authorized civic leaders to create and rapidly disseminate time-sensitive messages to every telephone number stored in the notification database, an explanation on Burlington’s town website states. With the Blackboard service, authorized users can send thousands of messages in minutes. Only authorized officials are allowed access to the system.

If you'd like to sign up click here and click the Connect 5 link and then the “Sign Me Up” button. If you need more information click on the Connect5 FAQ on that page.

If after reading this FAQ you have additional questions call Linda at the Town Hall (781) 270-1978.
