Guide to Voting in State Primary

By: BNEWS

The Massachusetts State Primary is this Thursday and Town Clerk Amy Warfield is encouraging all eligible residents to come out and vote.

The polling hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.  All precincts vote at the Burlington High School, John Vanella Gym around the back of the school, a release from the clerk’s office states.

School is in session and you might want to avoid coming to the polls at the opening and closing hours (7am and 2pm) when buses and students will be arriving and leaving, the release says. There will be limited parking in Lot#1, the Student parking lot during that time.  Parking will be available around the back side of the building near the Poll entrance. (see the map)

The parking spaces at the poll entrance at Burlington High School’s John Vanella gym area are reserved from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Election Day for senior citizens and persons who have a temporary or permanent disability.   HP spaces will be available at all times.

For those who will be unable to cast their ballot at the polls on election day, Absentee Voting is being conducted at the Town Clerk’s Office until NOON on Wednesday, September 7.
