Info Meeting on Wednesday for ‘Luxury’ Affordable Housing Unit Lottery


There will be a public info session on an upcoming affordable housing lottery for The Reserve at Burlington.

The Reserve at Burlington is a luxury rental apartment community located at 20 Corporate Drive. In total 68 of the 270 units will be affordable housing that will be doled out in a lottery starting on July 17.

The public info session about the apartments and the lottery will be this Wednesday, May 22 at 6 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall.

According to a release the affordable housing rent prices will be $1,293 for a studio, $1,470 for a one-bedroom unit, $1,632 for a two-bedroom unit and $1,632 for a three-bedroom apartment. Utilities are not included.

The maximum house income to qualify for affordable housing in this complex is $56,800 for one person, $64,900 for two people, $73,000 for three people, $81,000 for four people, $87,600 for five people and $94,100 for six people.

Completed applications must be delivered, or postmarked, by 2 p.m. on June 17. The lottery will be held on July 17th at 6 p.m. at Burlington Town Hall.

According to the release the apartment’s are high-end units with a number of features.

“Apartments feature vinyl plank flooring in living areas and kitchen, tiled bathrooms, carpeted bedrooms, stainless steel appliances and oversized windows,” it reads.

There are also a lot of amenities on the property.

“The community features a two-story lobby, a large clubroom, modern tech lounge and four outdoor courtyards with four distinct feels,” the release states.

The Active courtyard features a resort-style pool, outdoor yoga area, kitchen and bar, spacious seating area and a fireplace. The Playful courtyard features outdoor giant checkerboard, performance space and a fireplace. The Quiet courtyard has a zen garden, firepit and woodland views. The Natural courtyard features and open lawn area for picnics or play.

“In addition, the property will have a state-of-the-art fitness center and studio room with space for Fitness on Demand, yoga, and spin classes, an indoor/outdoor solarium with a living wall and water feature, an on-site pet spa and play area, and storage locker rental space available on site.”
