Kings Burlington Announces Opening Date

Burlington, it's almost time to put on your bowling shoes and hit the lanes.

Kings Burlington announced on its Facebook page that it will open on February 9th, 2015 in the 3rd Avenue development park. Kings will be located at 52 Second Avenue, across the street from Wegmans.

Kings was set to open last year but a fire on April 13, just weeks before the grand opening, damaged the structure and caused part of it to collapse. After the fire Kings placed the employees it hired in local establishments.

"Kings Bowl first opened our doors in 2003 in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay," the company's web site state. "Our goal was to recapture and rekindle the fun and escape of bowling which had faded since its heyday. The 1950′s and 1960′s are considered to be the golden age of bowling and KINGS’ design and decor capture the nostalgic feeling while adding modern twists to everything we do. From the start, we set out to create a unique and memorable entertainment experience by emphasizing good food, cold beer, creative cocktails, cutting edge technology, and great music. We put our focus on classic, retro-inspired decor and Executive chef menus brought to life by our best-in-industry service. In doing so, KINGS launched the modern day bowling renaissance of “social bowling” which has revitalized the sport across America. Bowling is back at Kings, A Classy Bowling Joint, and we invite you to be a part of it."

The Burlington location will be the fourth Kings and the largest in Massachusetts. It will be 30,000 squre feet and feature 20 ten-pin bowling lanes, three billiard tables, ping pong tables and a 48-seat presentation theater. There will also be a full service restaurant, two bars and over 50 high definition televisions and projector screens. It will also have a private space for parties, kids birthdays and corporate or business events.

Kings has been holding hiring fares this past month. For more details visit their Facebook page
