Latest Library News: 30-Year Undercover FBI Agent Talk, Science Blast, Dads and Donuts

Ghost: My Thirty Years as an FBI Undercover Agent – Thursday, May 16, 7-8:30pm

From infiltrating three separate Mafia Families, to pursuing infamous drug lord 'El Chapo” Guzman, to investigating the Boston Marathon bombings, Michael McGowan has been on the front lines of some of the most notorious cases in the headlines. As an undercover FBI agent, McGowan has been recognized at the highest levels of the FBI and the Department of Justice. In this talk, McGowan shares his unique firsthand perspective of how these and other cases went down.

We only have a few more programs (see below) before our June hiatus, when we put together our Summer Reading Program together. We look forward to a spectacular summer and hope to see you all checking out books, etc. till then!

 

Science Blast - Thursday, May 16, 4-4:45 pm Learn to use a microscope with Amanda! Grades K-5

 

Teen Lounge - Fridays, May 17, 24, & 31, 2:30-4:30 pm Come kick back with Nicole at the end of a long week. She’ll have your favorite snacks and games to enjoy.

 

Dads and Donuts - Saturday, May 18, 11 am Enjoy stories and songs about cement mixers and other heavy machinery with Mary. Then front-load some donuts for yourself! All Ages

 

Preschool Games - Monday, May 20, 1:00-1:45 pm Join Mary for games that use your bodies and your minds.

 

Lego Club - Monday, May 20, 4:00-4:45 pm Jenna’s got the legos, you bring the imagination. K-6

 

Teen Craft: Tie-Dye - Monday, May 20, 7-8 pm Bring in plain caps, bags, or socks to spruce up. Jenna has everything you need to creatively colorize them!

 

Teen Lounge - Friday, May 24, 2:30-4:30 pm

 

Storytime Schedule

Baby Storytime - Fridays @ 11 am  For caregivers with children from birth to 18 months.  Delight and enliven your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys, and puppets.  Build brain power.

 

Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays and Wednesdays @ 10:30 am For caregivers with children ages 18-36 months.  Interact with your toddler with your toddler during storytime to nurture a love of books.  Be active with music and movement!

 

Preschool Storytime - Wednesdays@ 11 am For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years. Help your preschooler get ready to read.  Enjoy stories together and build language skills.
