Latest Library News: Harriet Tubman's Civil War, Yarn Bombing at the Library

The following is a release from the Burlington Public Library:

'I Can't Die but Once' Harriet Tubman's Civil War – Thursday, June 21 from 7-8:30 p.m.

Gwendolyn Quezaire-Presutti portrays Harriet Tubman in 'I Can't Die but Once.'  Harriet Tubman was enlisted by Governor John Andrew of Massachusetts as a scout and spy for the Union.  She battled courageously behind enemy lines during the Civil War.  For the past twenty years, Gwendolyn has engaged audiences with performances giving voice to real life accounts, struggles, self-determination, and triumphs of women she portrays.

An educational and entertaining program for adults, sponsored by the FOBPL. Admission is free and light refreshments are served.
