Spring Book Sale – April 27-29


The Friends of the Burlington Public Library are hosting their Spring Book Sale on:


Friday, April 27 from 10:15am - 5:30pm

Saturday, April 28 from 10:15am - 4:30pm

Sunday, April 29 (Buy a Bag Day) from 1:15pm - 3:30pm


Thousands of used (and some new!) books, audiobooks and DVDs available for sale for $1 each, Children's paperback books are two for $1.  Sunday is "Buy a Bag" day, for $5 you get a bag and can fill it up to the top. That's a LOT of books! Members of the Friends of the Library have the added perk of getting a free book for every 2 purchased. 

Thursday Evening Book Discussion Group – April 26, 7-8pm

The library's Thursday Evening Book Discussion Group will gather in Meeting Room 4 on the second floor to discuss 'LaRose' by Louise Erdrich. Discussion will be led by Diane Fitzgerald.

Attention, Tweens! Gingerbread houses are so yesterday: now that it’s Spring, come make a Peep House for your peeps!


Preschool Science - Thursday, April 19, 1-1:45 pm Join Joanna for the wonders of everyday science!


James Lepler Music - Friday, April 20, 11-11:45 am Dance and sing along with James Lepler.  Fun for all ages!


Teen Videogame Tournament - Thursday, April 19, 2:30-3:30 pm Nicole hosts a Wii Game competition!


Teen Lounge - Friday, April 20, 2:30-4:30 pm Join Nicole for an end-of- the-week celebration with games and snacks.


Preschool Games - Monday, April 23, 1-1:45 pm Join Mary for games that exercise your brains and your bodies!


Lego Club - Monday, April 23, 3:45-4:45 pm We supply the legos, you supply the imagination! Grades K-5


Tween Spring Peeps Houses - Monday, April 23, 7-8 pm Join Jenna for this spring version of edible houses: peeps houses. Grades 4-8


iToddler - Tuesday, April 24, 10:30-11 am Join Amanda for an interactive storytime projected on a screen for children 18 months to 3 years old.


iPreschool - Tuesday, April 24, 1-1:30 pm Join Amanda for an interactive storytime projected on a screen for 3-5 year olds!


Penguin Pajama Time - Tuesday, April 24, 7-7:30 pm Join Joanna for penguin stories and fun penguin facts!


After School Story and Craft - Wednesday, April 25, 3:30-4:15 pm Join Amanda for a longer storytime, followed by a school-age level craft.


Baby Storytime - Fridays at 11 am For caregivers with children ages birth-18 months. Delight and stimulate your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys and puppets! Build brain power!

Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10:30am For caregivers with children 18-36 months. Interact with your toddler to nurture a love of books. Be active with music and movement!


Preschool Storytime - Wednesdays at 11am & Fridays at 1:30pm For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years. Help your preschooler get ready to read. Enjoy stories together and build language skills!


Pajama Storytime - Tuesdays at 7 pm  For caregivers with children ages 3-7. Bring your favorite stuffed animal & blanket, and snuggle in for some evening storytime fun!
