Thanksgiving Holiday Hours The library will close at 3pm on Wednesday, November 22 and remain closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. We will reopen at 10am on Saturday, November 25.
The Last Thursday Evening Book Discussion Group – Thursday, November 30 7-8:30pm The Library's Evening Book Discussion Group will gather in McIntire Meeting Room on the first floor to discuss 'This Is How It Always Is' by Laurie Frankel. Discussion will be led by Susanne Sullivan, copies are available at the library’s Circulation Desk.
Delvena Presents: A Christmas Carol – Saturday, December 2 11am-noon Delvena Theater Company will present a production of 'A Christmas Carol' here in the library. This is best for children in grade school, but all grown-ups are welcome to attend. Please bring grandparents, aunts, and uncles to share in the experience of this classic story.
Youth Services Programs
Teens: if you just can’t get enough of the turkey, come build sock turkeys along with Jenna, on Monday the 27th at 7 pm. Materials are provided for these gobblers that will stay with you long after the leftovers are gone! Macy’s may have a parade, but the Children’s Room has its first Christmas programs this week to mark the passing season. Wednesday night, at 6:45, Mary will be running a holiday version of Minute-to-Win-It for kids of all ages. Come see if you can beat the clock at some crazy challenges. Saturday morning, mark your calendars for the Delvena production of A Christmas Carol. Three actors will take on all the parts in the familiar story of Scrooge’s night among the spirits. This delightful show will run from 11 am to Noon on December 2 and is a perfect outing for the whole family. The show is best for children in Grade School and up. Finally, Saturday afternoon Nicole will wrap up the day with cookies and frosting all set for you to decorate! Kids in 3rd to 12th grade are welcome.

Teen Sock Turkey Craft - Monday, November 27, 7-8 pm Jenna will show you how to stuff your own stocking. She’ll have everything you’ll need to make your own pet turkey.
Holiday Minute-to-Win-It - Wednesday, November 29, 6:45-7:45 Come race against time to finish each of Mary’s wild winter challenges in under a minute. Fun for all ages!
Teen Lounge - Friday, December 1, 2:30-4:30 pm Kick back at the end of a long week with Nicole.

Tween-Teen Cookie Decorating - Saturday, December 2, 3-4 pm Nicole has the makings—just bring your imagination! Grades 3-12

Baby Storytime - Fridays at 11 am For caregivers with children ages birth-18 months. Delight and stimulate your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys and puppets! Build brain power! Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 10:30am For caregivers with children 18-36 months. Interact with your toddler to nurture a love of books. Be active with music and movement!
Preschool Storytime - Wednesdays at 11am & Fridays at 1pm For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years.
