New Principal Announced for Fox Hill Elementary

There will soon be new leadership at Fox Hill Elementary School though the face will be familiar for the district.

Burlington Public Schools announced that David Rosenblatt has been selected as the new Principal of Fox Hill Elementary School, effective July 1, 2018.

Rosenblatt is completing his second year as the assistant principal at the Memorial Elementary School in Burlington, a release from the School Department states. Previously, he taught fourth and fifth grade in the Malden Public Schools where he also served as the Curriculum Leader for Social Studies. He also has classroom teaching experience at both the first and third grade levels.

"I am truly honored to continue my time in the Burlington Public Schools and I am looking forward to my new adventure as Principal at the Fox Hill School," Rosenblatt said. "I am a school leader who believes in meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of every student who attends Fox Hill School. My priorities are to make connection with all students and invest in their success. Additionally, I look forward to building strong relationships with educators, staff, families, and community members. I envision Fox Hill as an inclusive community in which all people are welcome and diversity is celebrated."

School Department leaders said they were happy to have someone within the department that was qualified to fill this position.

“We are fortunate to have someone in our system who is ready to step in as the next Principal at Fox Hill and build on Mrs. Johnson's legacy," said Superintendent Eric Conti. "David knows our programs well and he is a student-centered leader who will make it a priority to build strong connections with staff and families in order to ensure that stakeholders are informed and invested in key decisions."
