New Year's Day Closings

By: BNEWS

It’s time to say goodbye to 2019 and ring in the new decade.

New Year's Day is this Wednesday and municipal, state and federal offices will be closing for the holiday and many businesses will also be giving employees some time off.

Burlington Town Offices, including Town Hall and the Burlington Public Library will be closed. They will both reopen on Thursday.

Burlington Public Schools are already out for winter break and classes will start again on Thursday.

Most restaurants and liquor stores will be open on January 1. Most retails stores and grocery stores will also be open at the owner's discretion. Gas stations and movie theaters will be open. Most banks, however, will be closed on the New Year’s Day.

The MBTA will be running on the Sunday schedule.

Have a Happy New Year!
