It appears we may be in for some more snow on the heels what we got on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of southern New England, including Middlesex County, that will be in effect from Wednesday evening through Thursday night.
The NWS says the storm could bring a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain on Wednesday night and heavy snow on Thursday. Total accumulation could be up to 8 to 12 inches on Thursday.
“Pockets of freezing rain will linger into the evening, especially near the New Hampshire border,” the Winter Storm Watch states. “Heavy snow will begin early Thursday morning and last through much of the day before ending Thursday evening. Snow could fall heavy at times and impact both the morning and evening commutes.”
The NWS says the weather could impact driving conditions all residents should continue to check weather reports and possibly change travel plans if necessary.
