NWS Says Snow Likely for Tuesday's Evening Commute
Be prepared for a possible messy drive home from work on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory that will be in effect from 11 a.m. on Tuesday until 4 a.m. on Wednesday for most of southern New England, including the Burlington area.
The NWS says the area could get 2 to 4 inches of snow in that timeframe with the heaviest snowfalls occurring around the Tuesday afternoon commute. Snow is likely to continue into the overnight hours before tapering off Wednesday morning.
According to the NWS, untreated roads and walkways will become slippery by Tuesday evening. There is also a likelihood that visibility for drivers will be reduced.
