Opening Day Set for Bow Hunting in the Land Locked Forest

By: Rich Hosford

A heads up to those who enjoy hiking in the Land Locked Forest.

This year bow hunting for deer will begin on Monday, October 17.

Selectman Joe Morandi, who heads up the hunting program, said that this year a total of 13 applicants took and passed the necessary bow proficiency test. He said he wanted residents to be aware that there will be people out in the woods with bows and arrows.

“The program has done very well the last couple of years with no incidents and I’d like to keep it that way,” he said.
