People Helping People Seeking Co-Coordinator of Burlington Food Pantry


People Helping People, Burlington’s premier charity organization, is looking to fill a vital position at the Burlington Food Pantry.


“People Helping People has extended its search for a person interested in being Co-Coordinator of the PHP Burlington Food Pantry,” a release from the organization states.


Some of the duties would be:


- Dealing with pantry operations including distribution of food and managing the volunteers.


- Managing food by taking inventory. Managing food donation sources, and placing orders with Market Basket, GBFB and Parkway Produce.


- Managing the pantry client data base, recording donations, and preparing reports for the PHP board and GBFB monthly.


- Work with lunch coordinator to plan announcements and register families for PHP Lunch Program for kids.


- Participate in public relation events, Postal Food Drive, and be a liaison for the PHP Holiday Program. Work with BYFS to determine eligibility of clients.


A letter of intent and resume should be sent to Christine Shruhan, director of Burlington Youth and Family Services, 29 Center Street, Burlington, MA or by Friday September 7, 2018. The search has been extended but priority will be given to those who met the original deadline of August 23.
