People Helping People to Provide Free Lunch Food for Students on Free or Reduced Program During School Closure

Burlington students who rely on the school system for affordable meals will be covered during the Coronavirus shutdown.

According to a letter from Burlington Public Schools, lunch for students on free and reduced lunch will be provided by People Helping People. The organization will be offering free lunch foods for families who receive free or reduced-price lunch at school for the duration of the school closure.

The food to prepare a week’s worth of lunches can be picked up each Tuesday at St. Mark’s Church, 10 St. Mark’s Road, from 3 to 7 p.m. Families who need assistance getting these items should call the new school emergency number at (781) 238-4674 so they can provide support in getting the food to them.
