Photo of the Week: 3rd Grade 'Living Wax Museum'

Another week, another photo to highlight.

This week we have some Burlington students dressed up as figures from the past. It was sent in by Linda McNamee and shows Pine Glen 3rd graders participating in the annual “Living Wax Museum.” Students chose historic Massachusetts figures, researched them, created presentations, then dressed like them.

Family and friends were welcomed to the school where the children assumed the roles of these historic figures and were prepared to answer questions about their role.

Characters included Deborah Sampson, featured by Linda’s daughter Gwyneth (center), as well as JFK, Dr. Seuss, Clara Barton, Susan B. Anthony, Ben Franklin, Johnny Appleseed, John Adams, and many others. Linda says parents and teachers should be proud of what these children accomplished through this project.

Thanks for the photo, Linda!

We’d like to see your photos. They could be of something you see around town, the weather outside your own door or even photos of your family members and pets. Whatever you think is interesting and would like to share.
