Photos: New CVS Construction in Crossroads Plaza Well Underway

By: Rich Hosford

The former Busa Wine and Liquors in the Crossroads Plaza at 34 Cambridge Street is well on its way to becoming a new CVS location.

As reported in September of 2018, the Planning Board approved the relocation of the CVS from its current location on the other side of the plaza to the stand-alone building on the right-hand side as one enters from Cambridge Street. In paperwork filed with the town CVS said the biggest opportunity for the new location is a drive-up pick-up/drop off window for pharmacy customers.

Other structural changes include closing the existing entrance and constructing a new one, relocating the dumpster area and constructing four handicap parking spots.

The project marks another change in a plaza in the midst of a big transition. Target and Total Wine and More both opened in the last year.

And for those who want to buy crafting materials the Michael’s in the plaza behind the incoming CVS is still open during the construction work.
