Police Release New Sketch in 35-Year-Old Unsolved Fatal Hit and Run

Decades after it happened the Burlington Police Department is making a new attempt at solving a fatal hit and run incident.

As reported by Fox 25 Boston the Burlington Police have released a new sketch of the suspected driver who struck George Aleskivitch 35 years ago.

According to police, a little after midnight on February 26, 1983 a driver struck Aleskivitch at the Route 128 exit on Winn Street. Police were told by witnesses that a burgundy car that was possibly a 1981 or 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme struck the victim and dragged him upwards of 60 feet before speeding away and leaving the scene on the northbound ramp of Route 128.

A witness also told police that there may have been a total of three people in the vehicle during the time of the incident. Further, police believe the vehicle would have suffered front-end damage.

Aleskivitch’s family is desperate to have this case solved, Fox 25 reports, and is asking that if anyone knows anything or recognizes the man in the police sketch to contact authorities.
