Second Suspect, a Juvenile, Arrested in Connection to April Shooting at Burlington Mall
A second person has been arrested in connection to the non-lethal shooting that occurred in the Burlington Mall Parking lot in April.
According to a release from the department, Chief Michael Kent says a juvenile male, aged 15, of Lowell was arrested on Wednesday and will face charges in Lowell Juvenile Court.
On the evening of April 14, a man was shot in the mall parking lot and treated at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries. Police were confident immediately that the shooting was not a random act of violence.
As reported, on Tuesday police also arrested Noel Semprit, 19, of Lowell. He was arrested earlier Tuesday in Lowell on a warrant out of Middlesex Superior Court.
Semprit was arrested by Burlington Police Detectives working in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Arrest Squad and the Lowell Police Department, police say.
