Stock Up on Winter Reading Material at Friends of the Burlington Public Library Book Sale


Stock up on reading material for the winter and support the Burlington Public Library at the same time. 


The Friends of the Burlington Public Library is holding it’s annual Fall Book Sale this weekend. The group holds two weekend-long book sales each year, generally in April and October. 


“Thousands of "previously read" books, audio books, DVD's and music CDs are offered for purchase at a very modest price,” a notice from the library states. “Choose from general fiction, history, biography, travel, health, computing, home-improvement, hobbies and more. There is always an extensive collection of books, puzzles, music and films for children as well.”


The time for the fall book sale, this year going by the Halloween-themed name of “Batty for Books Book Sale” are as follows: 


Friday, October 28 from 10:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 


Saturday, October 29 from 10:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 


Sunday, October 30 from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m. 


All books CD’s, audio, DVD’s and puzzles are $1. Children’s paperbacks are $2 for $1. If you are a member of the library you will have an exclusive offer, buy 2 book get the 3rd book free. On Sunday you can spend $5 for a paper bag supplied by the library that you can fill up with books.
