Store Clerk Reports Armed Robbery at Knifepoint

The Burlington Police Department is investigating a report of an armed robbery at a Burlington gas station.

 

At 3:02 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, police responded to Mobil Gas Station at 173 Bedford Street after a store clerk reported being robbed at knife point.

 

The clerk said the suspect brandished a folding knife. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old and weighing about 200 pounds. His height was estimated at between 5’5’’ and 5’7’’. He was wearing a white hat, a black (or possibly green) hoodie and white pants with animal prints.

 

After the report police issued an "all points bulletin" for the suspect. The Massachusetts State Police and the Bedford Police Department assistant with the search. Burlington Detective Gary Redfern said that as of Monday afternoon no arrest had been made.

 

Redfern said that no similar robberies with a suspect of similar description have been reported.

 

He also said a surveillance photo was not clear enough to make a positive identification and releasing it to the public would not help the open investigation.
