Update: State Sen. Donnelly Underwent Successful Brain Surgery
Update August 3rd:
State Sen. Ken Donnelly has undergone a successful brain surgery, his office reports.
"Thank you to everyone who called, emailed, texted, tweeted, sent Facebook messages, and sent their good thoughts and prayers to Senator Donnelly and his family," a post on his official Facebook page late Tuesday stated.
It goes on to say that "Senator Donnelly underwent successful brain surgery today where doctors removed a tumor. His medical team is very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and he is resting comfortably."
"The family is overwhelmed with all the love and support they have received. Please keep all the positive energy flowing in his direction," the post concludes. "We will update you when we have information on where to send cards, etc."
State Senator Ken Donnelly, 4th Middlesex District, has been hospitalized and is likely going to undergo surgery.
Details are limited at this time but the following messages was posted to his official Facebook account a little after 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night:
“After experiencing difficulties, Senator Donnelly was admitted to Mass General Hospital this evening. After further testing, doctors determined surgery is likely required. It is expected that he will be undergoing surgery in the next 48 hours. His family asks that you send all your good wishes and prayers. We will update you when we have more information.”
