Winter Parking Ban Goes Into Effect on December 1

Avoid a ticket or even possibly having your car towed by parking it off the streets.

Burlington's winter parking ban will go into effect on Saturday, December 1 and will be enforced until April 1. Some private roads in Burlington are exempt but if the Burlington Department of Public Works plows it then the ban applies.

During the ban no vehicles can be parked on the side of the road between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. The ban is put in place to make snow removal easier for the DPW.

The ban is enforced by the Burlington Police Department. Offenders can be subject to a fine of $50 per offense. Also, if a vehicle parked on the side of the road interferes with snow removal the town may have it towed at the owner's expense.
