The owners of Macy’s in the Burlington Mall are betting on customers wanting some caffeine while they shop.
Macy’s has submitted a special permit application with the Burlington Planning Department to build a Starbucks kiosk near the interior mall entrance of the department store. The kiosk will take up approximately 1,232 square feet of the store.
According to the application the Starbucks kiosk will serve hot and cold beverages and pre-packaged food items for either dine-in or takeout.
All proposed alterations will affect only the inside of the store. There are no proposed changes to the exterior of the mall.
The application is scheduled to be before the Planning Board on Thursday, June 20.
