The Cummings Foundation has begun the process for its 2022 grant program and recently held a virtual celebration of its 2021 grant recipients.
“Cummings Foundation is now accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOI) for its 2022 grant cycle,” a letter from the foundation states. “The application process will culminate with 140 local nonprofits sharing in $25 million. One hundred organizations will be awarded $100,000 each. In addition, 40 organizations that have previously received $100,000 grants will be awarded 10 years of funding totaling $200,000 – $500,000 each.”
According to the letter the window to submit a letter of inquiry is shorter than in previous years. It will remain open through Friday, August 13 at 5:00 p.m.
Any non-profit can view the timeline, eligibility requirements, a preview of the LOI, and FAQs at these links. The link to the online LOI is available on this site.
The organization also recently held a virtual celebration of the 2021 recipients.
“Hundreds of grant winners, volunteers, and assorted friends of the Cummings organization logged on for a highly interactive evening,” said Alison Harding, Communications Specialist for Cummings Properties. “In addition to remarks from co-founders Joyce and Bill Cummings and creative celebratory videos from 140 new grant recipients (including Burlington-based Saheli and Burlington Police Department), this year’s party was punctuated by a rapid-fire chat involving all the attendees as well as a lengthy post-program conversation among grantee organizations and Joyce and Bill.”
