A Look at Burlington’s Vaccination Rates Compared to Neighboring Communities

Burlington residents have been lifting up their sleeves and receiving jabs of COVID-19 vaccines but how does the town compare to Middlesex County and its neighbors.

Though the data is incomplete, what we can see in the June 3 Vaccination Report from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health sheds some light and shows Burlington is mostly in line with other communities in the area.

In total in Middlesex County, 65 percent of residents over 12 years old, and thus eligible for the vaccination, have received both doses. Town-by-town totals are not available, but certain age ranges are, though they vary by town due to differences in information collecting and reporting.
