BNEWS is an arm of BCAT dedicated to local news. Its offerings include a daily newsletter, a weekly news television program, and regular special segments on local affairs.

In an era of declining local news, BCAT is proud to provide rigorous and unbiased coverage of local government and public affairs for the Burlington community.

BNEWS Editorial Independence Statement

BCAT is a nonprofit cable access television station. BNEWS, the journalism arm of BCAT, is editorially independent from its funders, any government agency, and the BCAT Board of Directors.

When BNEWS covers itself or members of its board, BNEWS uses the same strict editorial judgment as we would any other entity. If individuals associated with BCAT run for or are electedto public office, those individuals do not have special access or information and do not receive special treatment.

Corrections Policy

BNEWS always strives for accuracy, but errors do happen. When we make mistakes, we strive to correct them as quickly as possible and alert readers, listeners or viewers to the error.
