About
Carter Ames is an incoming freshman at Burlington High School and a student reporter. He first became involved in journalism through the Video Voyager Club, where he worked on several stories. He has won “Excellence in Student Reporting by a Middle School Student” at BCAT’s Annual Meeting Awards in both 2025 and 2026. In addition to journalism, Carter is also heavily involved in BCAT, including sports and government coverage, as well as podcast hosting. Carter hopes to continue student journalism at BHS after an impressive start.
