Burlington High School’s girls volleyball teams recently donned pink uniforms to raise money to fight breast cancer.
According to a post on BHS Principal Mark Sullivan’s blog, on Friday, October 10, the Volleyball Lady Devils held their annual Dig Pink Volleyball Game to raise money to fight the disease. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The players volunteered their time and worked together to make the event a success, Sullivan wrote. They raised over $2,000 from donations, raffle ticket sales and a bake sale.
“Great job Lady Devils!” Sullivan said. “Bump, Set and Spike!”
