BHS Senior Selected for MIAA Student Advisory Committee

BHS Senior Sydney Shinopulos has been selected to be a part of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Student Advisory Council Committee.

Shinopulos participates and competes in two sports at Burlington High School, Girls Ice Hockey and Girls Softball.

According to the MIAA website, The committee is composed of students who participated in the New England Student Leadership Conference (NESLC) and/or the MIAA Student Ambassador program. Students attend seasonal meetings with the Educational Athletic Committee and help facilitate student and captains leadership workshops throughout the year.

The students are also asked to participate in various associated activities and provide continual feedback from the perspective of students on how to improve the Educational Athletic offerings of the MIAA.

Robert Parris

Robert Parris is BCAT’s Sports and Features Reporter. Robert first got involved with BCAT in January 2016 as a volunteer news reporter. Throughout the year, as a volunteer, he was busy developing his technical skills at the studio and his ENG skills in the field. In the summer of 2017, Robert joined the team full-time. He quickly settled into his role, providing all of the production support for our news programs, as well as providing weekly sports highlights. Robert also produces a weekly feature for BNEWS, as well as a monthly show called, BNEWS Sports Hub, and BCAT’s Game of the Week.
